  • The bottom of the barrel

This podcast is everything that’s wrong with the country in a podcast. Wreckless… going to get people k1lled.. and straight up just a circle jerk for those that just don’t care about anything but themselves.. that includes the truth..

  • Slow downloading

I like the show. But, that doesn’t matter, because I can’t listen to it. It takes over two hours to get 40 minutes of audio. Every other podcast I listen to takes around five minutes to download an hour and a half of audio. When I leave for work, it’s never done downloading, so I have nothing to listen to while I work.

#188: TRACKING DOGS with Dean Muthig
Q: How tricky are liver shots from a trailing perspective?
Liver shots can be unpredictable; they should be treated like gut shots as they might take longer to die.
#188: TRACKING DOGS with Dean Muthig
Q: What is the key to finding a gut shot deer?
Giving them enough time to expire and not bumping them. Early season, 12 to 16 hours is best before tracking.
#188: TRACKING DOGS with Dean Muthig
Q: What should a hunter's next move be if they shoot a deer and it runs off?
Mark the hit site if possible and wait a few hours before proceeding to avoid bumping the deer too soon.
#186: WHAT DEER CAN SEE with Dr. D'Angelo & Dr. Jorge
Q: What are the long-term implications of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) on deer populations and hunting culture?
CWD is expected to change population dynamics and management strategies but is not predicted to wipe out deer populations altogether. Habitat management remains crucial in mitigating its effects.
#186: WHAT DEER CAN SEE with Dr. D'Angelo & Dr. Jorge
Q: What can we learn about young bucks as indicators of herd health?
Young bucks are an excellent index for assessing overall population health through their antler size, body mass, and fat reserves, which reflect habitat quality.
