As a leader of an apostolate in the Church, I have never been so simultaneously excited and heartbroken listening to a podcast. I am so eternally grateful for the detailed explanation of how this festers in communities and what can actually be done to stop this in a real way that goes beyond the bad apple theory. A vital service to the church (love to you both from a friend in Tulsa!)
Beautifully done. Incredibly powerful and nuanced view into what abuse looks like and how institutions and other people justify looking the other way so often. Difficult to hear but absolutely necessary for anyone who finds themselves in an institution where abuse has and continues to happen.
The sisters have outdone themselves in this very well researched and produced podcast about the very pervasive issue of the abuse of adults within the Catholic Church. It is not easy to listen to but should be required listening for every Catholic. We cannot continue to turn the other way when lives are being harmed like this. Thank you for this amazing and prophetic undertaking.
Descent into Light by the Sisters of the Little Way is an incredibly well done audio documentary! Sisters Danielle and Theresa share their stories with remarkable courage and authenticity, interwoven with insightful interviews from experts in psychology, theology and the study of abuse in spiritual settings. My heart breaks while listening, meanwhile, I’m learning to find true hope there, buried deep beneath the surface. I can really feel the sisters ministering to me and walking alongside me on... more

It's painful to listen to and real. I particularly love how the sisters are aligning the content with the grief stages, making it practical for listeners to understand the process of healing. This is a podcast for a... more
