What a lovely surprise this podcast is. As a lapsed REM fan this brought me right back to my excitement in the early 90s and made me appreciate anew each track, even ones I had till now dismissed. I’m only halfway through these and can’t wait to work through the rest.

I joined on the Radiohead stint - loved it. Cringed at the Muse season at my teenage self and fell back in love with REM. Great podcast, brilliant dynamic - nice just to spend time and hang out with these guys. Always insightful, always fun.

The album review content is actually quite good. It’s well researched and rather interesting. Particularly the Up episodes.
However;
Tolerating the immature banter and southern English, dweeb behaviour, is difficult.
These guys obviously grew up watching the In-Betweeners.
There’s way too much talking about themselves (whilst giggling) that it can sometimes make you forget what podcast subject you’re actually listening to.

Easily my favourite podcast. Great host/big mates, and such a natural dynamic. Meticulously researched which makes it such a fascinating listen. Admittedly I’m a huge Radiohead and R.E.M. fan, but equally the Billie Eilish and Lauryn Hill seasons were great - especially the Billie Eilish season. Love this podcast, despite really not liking Muse or Manics (except The Holy Bible of course which is a remarkable work of art).
