As a new doula, the topic titles were both exciting and spoke directly to my curiosities, and I couldn’t wait to delve into the expertise and experience of well practiced pros. I was very saddened by this podcast. As a doula myself, it was painful to hear the judgemental tones in the hosts voices, the negativity, and all of the commentary about ProDoula being superior to other doula training organizations. This podcast would make me weary to have a ProDoula doula at my birth. Rather that speaking about doula work being a work of compassion for women, they make it about money only. I’m two episodes in and I cannot listen to another… the negative energy and talking down was unbearable. I would not trust either of these women at a birth, seem to be in it only for the money and pride, no compassion or empathy. They spend so much time putting down other people and organizations.
