  • Basically a self promoting advertisement

I wanted to love this podcast. As a new doula, the topic titles were both exciting and spoke directly to my curiosities, and I couldn’t wait to delve into the expertise and experience of well practiced pros. Instead, I got lengthy, belabored advertisements, self promotion, lots of personal off topic tangents and a strong sense of superiority over other birth workers. I tried to hang in for multiple episodes, but the latest involved all of this shorthand lingo about ‘DISC’ personality types that ... more

  • Not a fan

I was very saddened by this podcast. As a doula myself, it was painful to hear the judgemental tones in the hosts voices, the negativity, and all of the commentary about ProDoula being superior to other doula training organizations. This podcast would make me weary to have a ProDoula doula at my birth. Rather that speaking about doula work being a work of compassion for women, they make it about money only. There is a way to do both successfully and still build up women, and unfortunately they d... more

  • Egotistical opinions

I’m two episodes in and I cannot listen to another… the negative energy and talking down was unbearable. I would not trust either of these women at a birth, seem to be in it only for the money and pride, no compassion or empathy. They spend so much time putting down other people and organizations. It seems like these ladies have some healing to do themselves before helping others. I will definitely be sticking with my other podcasts, many better options out there that are more positive while als... more

  • Always enjoyable…

I always find Angela & Eva’s insights and perspectives thought provoking. The industry needed more conversations like this happening and I love their practical approach to all the various topics. They truly hash out not only how this work affects clients but also how it affects doulas. Helpful for both new and seasoned doulas.
