This is well researched but poorly produced, the person who does Elizabeth’s voice is spot on but then you have what sounds like Ai and voice actors who can barely read. It’s hours and hours of this lunatic’s text messages which is hard to listen to. I’m amazed at how easily this poor older man and the best friend fell for very obvious low effort scams.
Wow! I’m hoping for a chance one day to listen to this a number of times or at least to get an explanation from the hosts as to why it’s kind of all over the place and why it’s not exactly explained well. That said, I do want to say that I have been conned like this and that might be why it’s so confusing because it’s word salad like nobody’s business. And I’m leaning towards that last part, and I’m still giving it five stars because if that is the case, you guys did such a great job of crazy, ma... more
This woman’s story is almost too much for me to even handle! What a criminal!! Thank you to these ladies for the research and retelling of it all. I am constantly clutching my pearls throughout each episode! Thinking “oh God no, what else has she done!” Y’all, this woman is the woooooorst. Love the podcast, though!!
I listen to podcasts almost every single day. This is the worst pod I have ever listened to. The story itself is intriguing but ultimately that of a typical scammer/con artist except it’s *a woman* the voiceovers are AI and/or horrible untrained voice actor’s. The host is apparently obsessed with Eliza’s
Beth and bass on her social media activity may be worse than the subject of the pod. Even based on production quality alone this is a painful sensational story that will numb your mind. Ethicall... more
The episodes aren’t consistently updated. Hope this changes. Hard to follow when there’s too much time between.
Great story telling.
I dealt with an “Elizabeth” where truly, truth is crazier than fiction. I hope for more coverage. Been looking elsewhere to fill the gaps!
