I really love the podcast it makes me laugh and think seriously every week. My only small issue is that the last few episodes I feel like everything has been cut short with the discussion and it has jumped to the evil/genius vote very quickly. I prefer it when there is a bit more chat and banter leading up to it.
So good I listen to each episode at least twice!
I don’t place much faith in the final label, but the discussion is often hilarious, and I always learn something new.
The arguments are more revealing about today’s attitudes than about the figures themselves.
Spoiler:
Frankly, labeling Agatha Christie or JRR Tolkien evil solely on the basis that they were not as outspoken against the cliches of their time as they could have been is plain wrong.
•EPISODE: Evil Animals (Snakes) in which the host “hones in” on a species. It’s “HOMES in”; “hone” means “sharpen”.
