    I’m experiencing a tough time currently, grieving for my Mom this first Christmas without her. I’m an American living in Jamaica, so I am also grieving my cultural traditions. I rarely cry, because crying or expressing sadness in this culture is met with a sweet and well intentioned “hush” (pronounced “ush”).
