Vanessa’s voice is sexy! Whether I’m listening to her here or on Harry Potter and the Sacred Text hearing her voice calms my nervous system. Now I’m going to hear thoughtful conversation from someone who sees the world with my same values.
Long time listener and I’ve loved this pod but the co host is not a good fit rn. It doesn’t feel like they care or enjoy the subject matter at all and it’s ruining the pod for me
I love this show! I have listened to Live from Pemberley at least three times all the way through. It is my absolute favorite season thus far. I hope for more Austen reviews in the future. I’ve also enjoyed the latest season on film, and learning about the origins of all the teen rom coms that I adored in my tweens, most I didn’t realize were adaptations of well known literature. Vanessa and Hannah have infectious energy that brings a smile to my face as I listen. Thanks for a great pod!

A must listen for people who enjoy academic exploration of literature and pop culture. Hosts are charming relatable and brilliant. I often find myself reflecting back on something I heard in an episode and realizing it changed my perspective. Give any season a try! Particularly the last three are amazing.
