國聖燈塔，台灣本島的極西點，佇立於台南七股的頂頭額沙洲。這座燈塔曾在颱風中被摧毀、搬遷，它的命運，正是七股海岸劇烈環境變遷的縮影。
原本沿著堤防的道路，如今被風吹來的沙子完全掩埋，形成一望無際的荒漠地景，讓這裡有了「台版撒哈拉沙漠」之稱。為了保護這片土地，政府在沙洲外側設置了消波塊和離岸堤，但仍無法阻擋大自然的力量。原先寬度約300公尺的頂頭額沙洲，面積已縮小至緊貼堤岸；沙洲南側原本有著一大片的防風林，如今僅存一株木麻黃，成為七股海岸不斷後退消失的「地標」。

七股潟湖，是台江內海的最後遺跡。從西濱台61線的七股溪橋上遠眺，可見由青山港、網仔寮、頂頭額3個沙洲溫柔圍繞出的潟湖，水域則有著整齊排列的立棚式蚵架，與定置網、文蛤養殖區。這片風景正訴說著七股漁民與海共生的智慧。
時序進入冬天，東北季風開始吹起，正是牡蠣的繁殖季。這個時候牡蠣會將精卵排出，肚子變得透明，身形「消瘦」；漁民們也會把握這個時機，將空殼放回海中，讓水中隨波逐流的蚵苗自然附著，為隔年的收成做準備，展現出養蚵產業隨著季節運行的節奏感。

近年台灣接連面臨多起災難事件，從去年0403花蓮大地震，到今年7月初的丹娜斯颱風、9月下旬馬太鞍溪堰塞湖溢流，大自然的無常一次次向我們示警。當災害發生時，真正能撐住社區的，往往不是大型救援系統，而是平時就在你我身邊的「防災士」。
什麼是防災士？簡單來說，防災士就是最貼近家庭與社區的防災種子。民眾必須完成內政部規劃的課程，包括災害風險認知、居家安全措施、社區防災工作、避難收容所規劃、急救術科實作等，共15小時課程，並通過學科與術科測驗，才能取得證書。這些訓練讓他們在災難發生時不只是自救，更能挺身... more
追蹤訊號靜止了……
9月底，台灣猛禽研究會追蹤的黑鳶「金桔」出現訊號異常。當研究人員循著GPS點位前往基隆七堵山區察看時，迎接他們的卻是令人心碎的畫面。一整面巨型鳥網橫跨山頭，連綿數百公尺，金桔與另外3隻黑鳶等距掛在網上，已無生命跡象。
基隆港是全台最容易近距離看見黑鳶覓食的地方，而牠們夜棲的地點之一，正是鳥網架設的七堵山區。這次掛網事件，造成將近1%的北部黑鳶族群死亡，是極大的傷害。更令人震驚的是，鳥網拆除不到一週，同一位置竟然又出現了全新的鳥網！
