Similarly to the wonderful, deeply aware, unconditionally loved by The Mystery that is God I was raised Roman Catholic and came to appreciate, as I moved into adolescence, I was not welcome. As a young adult I was Recieved into the Episcopal Church. As an Anglo Catholic I threw out the bath water and kept the baby.
I discovered this pod many years after my own deconstruction. Back in my deconstruction days, I only had pods about people leaving other religions. While, I love those pods and so grateful for all I learned about theology, this one feels like coming home!
i am so, so happy that cade started this podcast. we need more gay ex-catholic deconstructionists speaking up about the harms caused by the fundie church and "orthodox" apologists. every time a new episode or video drops is a personal holiday in my book 🎉
Cade always has great guests with great stories, it’s helped me immensely in navigating my deconstruction and understand my world better
This is one of my favorite podcasts. Cade does such a great job of including people who have left Trad Catholic and other High Control/Cult religion. Each person is at a different place in their journey. He is so welcoming and really listens. His questions are superb. The discussions are really enlightening.
