  • An honest review of ITM with Joey and Scott

As he has since the inception of Inside the Monster, Joey kills it week in and week out. With that said, I am not a fan of this new iteration of the podcast. In my personal opinion, Scott takes away more than he adds from the show. He is often times condescending and his analysis is poor. Since one co-host weighs down the show, I have to give it a two and a half.

  • Not great

Joey I love ya but your new partner is unbearable to listen to. Kid thinks he knows absolutely everything about the Sox and yet he’s unable to have a normal back and forth conversation. Just my thoughts….Go Sox.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep. 253: David Ortiz II
Q: Did the team ask you to be a part of this? And also, have you spoken to Juan Soto at all? Can you give us anything there?
I was asked if I was available to meet Juan Soto, but I couldn’t go at that time due to my dad's situation in the hospital. The Red Sox are interested in what they are trying to do, and as a Dominican fellow and friend of his, I aim to let him know how great our organization is.
Ep. 183: Liars
Q: Do you think if this team had a vocal leader, like let's say Turner had been here for five, six years, would that player have spoken up?
No, because when do we ever hear from guys in the off-season? Guys are so aware now of their own personal brands and like not wanting to mess it up.
Ep. 192: David Ortiz
Q: When you go to Fenway Park now, what's going through your head?
Ortiz reflects on the fun and memories when visiting Fenway, acknowledging the joy people find in his presence.
Ep. 192: David Ortiz
Q: What do you think about Rafi stepping up and speaking his mind about the team?
Ortiz commends Rafi for showing leadership and being a winner, stating it's important for players to voice their opinions.
Ep. 192: David Ortiz
Q: What are your general thoughts on the team right now, having been down there?
Ortiz discusses the rebuilding phase the team is going through, emphasizing patience as they develop young talent.
