Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The MAGIC of just OBSERVING your BREATHING – JS Legare #393
Q: What essential difference do you see in breathing on the range versus on the golf course?
On the golf course, stress causes a shift to shallower, more rapid breathing compared to the more controlled and deeper breaths taken on the range.
The MAGIC of just OBSERVING your BREATHING – JS Legare #393
Q: What would you say would be better breathing for people exploring this?
Better breathing should be biomechanically large, light, and slow, allowing for a full diaphragm expansion, especially in active situations like golf where stress can affect breathing.
Integrating Mind and Body to Perform – Marcus Bell #388
Q: What would be your suggestion of an entry point, guys at the range through the winter?
Start with self-realization about what you can do with the golf club and experiment with the movements without focusing on the ball initially.
Why our brain tries to PROTECT us from OUTCOMES but holds us back from life– Dr Raymond Prior #383
Q: Why is our brain so keen to protect us from outcomes?
The brain is designed to keep us alive, prioritizing the avoidance of perceived threats, which can lead to anxiety and hesitation.
A journey back to health and fitness – Josh Leyes Par4Success #381
Q: What improvement can individuals see in their performance as they age?
If they do the right things collaboratively, they can regain their prior performance levels and sometimes exceed them.
