  • Have Some Enthusiasm!

I have tried listening to this podcast a couple of times, but the amount of dead air in between people talking makes me think something is wrong with the podcast. The complete lack of enthusiasm and monotone voices when they’re talking about everything doesn’t make me excited to listen to the podcast either. It’s like they’re reading off of a script. Show some excitement for running and that will make me excited to hear what you’re saying.

  • Knowledgeable, entertaining, funny

Jonathan Gault and the Johnson twins are dialed into all things running, they discuss some controversial topics within the sport that some other sports journalists are afraid to, they have some entertaining arguments, bring on great guests, and are clearly very knowledgeable on what they talk about and keep you up to date on all the latest news from around the world of running.

    Favorite running podcast.

  • Jon Galt needs better co hosts

Jon Galt = 5 star reporter

    Robert Johnson = 0 star

    Weldon Johnson = 1 star

This could be a great pod if they didn’t tell Robert when they were recording or if they just found Jon a co host who actually does some research and doesn’t say ridiculous (often offensive to the athletes) things all show.

Grant Fisher: Marathon Man? Millrose, the 2K World Record, and His NYC Half Debut
Q: Did you always see yourself moving up in distance to the marathon?
Absolutely not; I initially wanted to run the mile and did not want to run the 5K or 10K, but my coaches saw potential in those distances.
Grant Fisher: Marathon Man? Millrose, the 2K World Record, and His NYC Half Debut
Q: How will your training change in the six weeks between Millrose and the half marathon?
My training will shift to focus on more long runs and continuous reps rather than shorter track workouts.
Grant Fisher: Marathon Man? Millrose, the 2K World Record, and His NYC Half Debut
Q: Why did you choose New York to make your half marathon debut?
The timing lined up well for me with a competitive field and I want to experience the environment of road racing.
Ethan Strand (Guest), New Balance Winners & Losers, Shelby's Back
Q: When do you start to get into mile specific training?
We haven't neglected mile-specific training, but we haven't had major emphasis on it until closer to the NCAAs.
2026 Bold Predictions, 2025 Quiz, + Sage Hurta Klecker
Q: What kind of workouts and training does Sage Hurta-Klecker do?
First Sage mentioned training as a miler and transitioning to a focus on the 800, with an emphasis on increasing workout intensity and finding ways to push boundaries in practice.
