I love how fun and accessible this podcast is! I am not a hardcore science guy and with this show I don’t have to be. The episodes are consistently fascinating at a level I can follow. A very high quality pod!

And that intro to the ‘fatal attraction’ firefly pod…omg, one of the best things I’ve heard this year!

Very entertaining podcast about timely science topics. I was looking for something to transition to from the science podcasts directed at younger audiences now that my kid is a teen. This was a great mix of informative and lively and fit the bill perfectly!

He had so many questions about antibiotics that it definitely inspired him to learn more about the topic. I think you have a really beautiful way o... more

  • This show makes science actually fun

A great mix of science and storytelling.

The host breaks the science down into easy chunks so that I actually understand the subjects being discussed and can follow along.

Really recommend this show as we all need a healthy break from true crime pods from time to time.

Gut Check
Q: What are some of the pathogens that are the likely cause of foodborne illness?
Common pathogens include viruses like norovirus, bacteria such as salmonella, E. coli, and listeria, and parasites like Giardia which can contaminate food and water.
Bite Club
Q: Why is it so important to study these vectors?
Understanding vectors is crucial as the burden of vector-borne diseases is increasing, which necessitates community education and preventive measures.
Bite Club
Q: What is ancient DNA?
Ancient DNA is the study of historical genomes that can be recovered from sources like bones or soil, often being fragmented and damaged.
Bite Club
Q: What makes a vector so effective at spreading disease?
