  • Loved acknowledgment you were not prepared, we as writers always hard on ourselves!

I loved your question on how to write chemistry. What an insightful answer! It was very helpful and provided great value to listeners like myself.

With great respect to both the interviewer and interviewees, and as a long-time listener who understands that life, professional obligations, and making a living are priorities, I agree with your own observation from your episode "The Rules of the Show," Pilar. It would be beneficial to prepare more before the interview. One of the best interviewers ... more

  • Great content even for a non-writer!

I’m an actor and producer. Not a writer. But I love this podcast. The perspective it gives me for the scripts I’m working on is invaluable. I love hearing how the sausage gets made so to speak, and Pilar’s expertise gives me a leg up when I’m evaluating and/or breaking down a script! Thank you for all you do and keep those brilliant writers coming! We need you to do our work! Teamwork makes the Dream Work!

I understand in writing - it might not matter. But as a TV/Movie Writer, Director, Producer — going back 22 years in the industry — who started in development and script coordinating and script supervising. I would be the writer/script supervisor on set. And as a Script Super - I needed to break down ever page on paper which takes sooo ... more
