Partition is an historical podcast that will discuss the 1947 Partition of India and the formation of Pakistan as told by me, Neha Aziz. I was born in Karachi, Pakistan in 1990, and always knew that Pakistan used to be a part of India. However, it wasn’t until my first trip back to my home country in 2017 that I found out the devastating truth at an exhibit at the mall. Learning about partition in... more

I was so excited to find a podcast about Indian partition, but listening to these episodes, it feels like for every minute of content that describes historical events, you pay several minutes of overhead devoted to emotional personal journaling, not telling the story of Partition but instead telling the story about how someone felt in the 2010s or 2020s about researching this topic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The whole podcast could have been so much more valuable.
This was an excellent podcast. I learned so much and it answered many questions I had. Congratulations Neha, great job!
Unfortunately not a reliable account of events or context. Seems like it was written as a school project. Fuller and more accurate histories available.
Very well done, I learned so much! The personal stories were incredibly moving.
This is really well made and it serves as a good intro for people who - like the creator/narrator says - don’t know much about it. It is concise and has great testimony from people who lived through it. I’m white, English, young, and not left wing, and found it informative and enjoyable, and agree that schools don’t teach it. So, thank you.
To the two other reviewers below - set your expectations for a podcast. We are not listening to vikram Seth. I honestly have no time for people who sit about... more
