  • Unfortunate

Nick's litany of inside references is entertaining and he is knowledgeable, but the constant use of metaphor gets tired pretty quickly. However, the rest of the crew is very good.

A key problem is a tendency to cling to priors far longer than is practical in other than the very deepest formats. Most disappointing is the insistence on embracing and promoting controversial social issues. Sticking to baseball would serve better.

  • Good analysis but…

I could do without the disparaging remarks about Christian baseball players because of their beliefs. Unfortunately most of the time when Nick refers to a player as “not a good person” it’s because they are Christian and have publicly declared their faith. Hope to hear less hate from Nick in the future.

TWF 138 - NL Hitting Prospects Ready to Debut w/ Matt Heckman
Q: What is the optimistic approach for Seaver King?
If he refines his aggressive approach, there are tools and speed that could lead to better results in the future, potentially making him a 275 hitter with 30 stolen bases and 15-18 homers.
TWF 138 - NL Hitting Prospects Ready to Debut w/ Matt Heckman
Q: How do you evaluate Ryan Clifford's skill set and concerns moving forward?
Ryan Clifford's power is significant, but there are concerns about his ability to handle left-handed pitching and his overall value given the Mets' current positional logjam.
K ꓘ 182 - Listener Questions 2
Q: How would the addition of a second utility spot affect your draft strategy?
Only a few players would move up significantly in value, specifically those who are DH only like Otani, Schwaber, and Yelich.
K ꓘ 182 - Listener Questions 2
Q: When is the best time to sell expensive players for cheaper assets?
During the season when teams are vying for a title and there is a greater desire for playoff contention, making trades is more advantageous than waiting before the season begins.
K ꓘ 182 - Listener Questions 2
Q: Is it worth maintaining fantasy control over a three to five top prospect who struggled in 2025?
It depends on the specific prospect; for example, maintaining control over Marcelo Mayer and Jordan Lawler is likely worthwhile, while Dalton Rushing may be less certain given his playing time guarantee.
