Having tuned into Elric for over a decade and then following this podcast since it began, I’m amazed and deeply grateful that I’m still learning so much and having a blast while I do. Contagious passion about movies these guys have and such a wealth of knowledge, as well as just a great conversational hang out vibe. Thanks for the movie discoveries and the good listening
The enthusiasm for film is infectious. Brian and Elric really bring it. An outstanding podcast.
I love Edgar. And his thoughts on Christine, spot on. My thoughts:
clear through every choice in music, Christine was talking to us, to Arnie. And the brilliance of that seduction scene with that smoky, porno wail. Wow.
After Christine is destroyed, laid bare, she “dances” for Arnie — slow, sultry and as enticing as any girl. He couldn’t wait to get his hands on her.
I really enjoyed the rewatch, focusing my attention on Christine’s “dialogue”.
This was a musical, we just didn’t realize it.
Love the show. Hate when boring guy from the cinema reads out synopses of movies we all know. Aware it’s part of the sponsorship, but get rid fellas.
Anyone can google search a recommendation for what to watch next. These guys however bring a lot of personality to the table and it goes a long way.
