If you’ve been hurt by the church, I’m so sorry. This podcast asks genuinely thoughtful and compassionate questions. You'll hear a lot about mercy, justice, and inclusion—deeply important themes. But I found it lacking in biblical clarity. Holiness, obedience, and a biblical view of marriage are often dismissed. Grace is emphasized, but truth can feel morally relative. Important, necessary, wise, and relevant! Anything Brandi shares, whether it’s in writing or spoken on this podcast, I just want to go back and study, reflect, and apply. She is challenging in the best way, not only intellectually (and there is plenty of that) but also practically. My thanks to Brandi for what you offer to the world in your work and in your being.

Thank you for giving me words to my feelings and experiences. It’s helping me wade through my life.
Love this podcast. Brandi is an extremely smart and insightful host. Her analysis of toxic theologies (along with her guests) is always on the mark. But along with the justified anger, there is generosity and compassion. Highly recommended.
