  • Doesn’t follow journalistic standards

This show does not follow journalistic standards. The producers (and host) are unprofessional in their presenting. Some content contains triggers and they do not give any trigger warnings before airing content. This is very amateurish. Fair warning to anyone listening, this show won’t give any warnings to triggering content.

  • Bring back the individual podcasts

Need individual podcasts. Otherwise those of us that are time poor are missing out on the stories we want to hear and eventually going to get our news from another source instead.

  • AM, RN Brekky, World Today, PM, Drive et al. Sabra, Linda, Sally, Fran, Bevo, Hamish ... all y'all ABC current affairs crew - thanks for years of transparent, factual, thoughtful reporting. Stand firm, keep a straight face (except for the Nats - can't help but laugh) you do represent the majority despite efforts of the IPA and Scomo's office load of rent seekers. Can't imagine the info landscape without you. Lots of love Matt.

Bring back the individual podcasts. You have a separate PM podcast for the full story, so why are you only uploading the full story here too????

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Liberal leadership showdown tomorrow
Q: James, what do you think are the chances Sussan Ley can withstand this leadership challenge?
There's some chance that Ley could hang on in the ballot at 9 a.m. tomorrow morning, but I think it is receding. There's definitely a sense of momentum towards Angus Taylor at this stage.
Iran protests: death toll rises
Q: If the help doesn't come for the protesters from Western nations, what are your worst fears about what might happen?
The regime will continue killing; unless the international community responds and helps Iranian protesters, things are going to get worse.
Iran protests: death toll rises
Q: Do you think military intervention is going to be necessary?
I think that the Iranian people need to be supported to overthrow this regime. That level of support is necessary for this regime to go.
Iran protests: death toll rises
Q: What are you hoping is going to happen?
We need to be realistic. This regime has grown emboldened, and it's not going to go unless the people of Iran are supported against it.
Iran protests: death toll rises
Q: So what are the fears that run through your mind when you think about friends and family back in Iran?
It's very confronting. Members of my family have received videos and messages from their loved ones in Iran, saying their goodbyes before going to protest.
