  • Not for young ears

Good content except for the fact that one of the speakers feels the need to drop f-bombs throughout, and completely unwarranted.

  • So Funny!

So - the way everyone teases each other out of respect and admiration is really uplifting as they take you on very relatable journey through applying their lessons to you work. At first you think it’s about asteroid mining - and yah - it is… but it’s transformative at a higher level. They get lawyers to open up while helping their team consider nuances of trade-offs. It’s how work should be. As a mid career designer studying aerospace engineering - it gives me a North Star. Great job - Micah

  • Details, sarcasm and great thoughts

My favorite space podcast - and I listen to a lot. This one has all you wish: You get both details and the wider picture delivered by a bubbly and at times sarcastic cast. The ideas can be applied outside the world of asteroid mining as well. In fact, some of them will get you thinking: When they are relevant in the microcosm of this startup - shouldn’t they be applied outside as well?! A great podcast - definitely recommended! Try it!

Shake the Crap Out of It (It's a Technical Term)
Q: What is AstroForge doing to prevent a bad quality control culture while maximizing our rate of learning?
AstroForge is documenting mistakes, incorporating lessons into standard operating procedures, and sharing knowledge with others in the industry to improve quality control while maximizing learning.
Big Momentum Is Selling You More Inertia
Q: Do you think industrial scale asteroid mining can be up and running in under 15 years, entirely commercially led?
Both James and Loic expressed confidence that asteroid mining goals can be achieved within that timeframe, emphasizing the urgency for AstroForge's success.
Not Bringing Asteroids To Earth, Thanks
Q: Will mining asteroids just destroy or change their trajectory?
We are taking out 2,000 pounds out of something that weighs a lot more than that, which probably wouldn't alter the orbit in a measurable way.
Not Bringing Asteroids To Earth, Thanks
Q: Is asteroid mining still economically viable if metal prices crash?
Yes, the nice thing about platinum group metals is that they are not volatile, and we can predict a price floor for them.
Not Bringing Asteroids To Earth, Thanks
Q: What mass of PGMs are you aiming to bring back from missions?
Our target mass right now is about a thousand kilograms of platinum group metals, which will not be 100% pure but north of 60% purity.
