  • This is what I’ve been looking for

Do you like to hear educated opinions that are clear, concise and charming?

Maybe it’s the accent but when someone said the latest Yorgos/Emma movie was “really just a doodle” I was hooked. There is a bit of music and television that we don’t access to yet. You know what? Don’t care. It’s an excellent show

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

George Saunders - The films of Jean-Luc Godard - Cello Concerto No. 1 – Hostile Summits
Q: How do you begin to compose a concerto like this yourself?
I start with an idea and an impression of the kind of emotional journey I want to take listeners on.
George Saunders - The films of Jean-Luc Godard - Cello Concerto No. 1 – Hostile Summits
Q: Can we read into her character something of the Bodhisattva, that idea of someone who delays their own personal nirvana in order to compassionately help other people?
Yes, that's a very cute reading; she is more of a flawed Bodhisattva because she doesn't seem to be effectively comforting Boone.
Arena Encore - The Odyssey, Paul Mescal & Sibéa
Q: What will you look forward to in Christopher Nolan's adaptation of The Odyssey?
I hope for originality and that Nolan retains his unique storytelling style while adapting the classic narrative.
Arena Encore - The Odyssey, Paul Mescal & Sibéa
Q: What aspects did you focus on in your translation of The Odyssey?
I aimed to recreate the density and rolling cadence of the lines to convey the texture of the poem's original feel.
Arena Encore - The Odyssey, Paul Mescal & Sibéa
Q: Why do you think The Odyssey continues to resonate with modern audiences?
It's a homecoming story that touches on universal themes of identity, adventure, and the complications of love and relationships.
