  • 5 stars for Katie, but....

Have always loved this show and Katie is up there with the best presenters. My only issue is the repetition of guests like Brid Smith amongst others who is never off this and other shows. Does Brid want her own show??

  • Interesting and informative

I live in England but have holidayed in Ireland for thirty years . These radio debates of five or so Politicians and journalists cover current topics such as the troubled economy elections etc . They always include politicians from different parties so give a lively variety of views. Recommended and keep me informed of events across the water.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Minneapolis latest
Q: Can I ask you finally, there is an awful lot of controversy and discussion in the media as far as I can see and among the political commentary at In America Tonight about the fact that President Trump has remarked that Alex Preddy had a gun.
In Minneapolis, that statement has not caused a lot of division, as many understand the legal ownership of the gun involved.
Minneapolis latest
Q: Is there anger or what's the atmosphere on the street when you talk to people?
While there is anger, it is largely peaceful, with communities coming together in solidarity. Protests after the tragedies have been organized peacefully.

Q: Can I ask you about yourself and the other people in the town, be they homeowners or businesses, emotionally, Conor, is it difficult? What's the atmosphere like?
Yeah, sure, it is like, there's no doubt about it. It's devastating. It does take its toll.

Q: What's it like? How bad is it for you, Conor?
It's been terrible the last couple of days, really. Since probably being on high alert, since probably Sunday morning, I guess, and the river was rising until we were in there watching it.
Regulation of online platforms
Q: Is it illegal for a platform or a tech company to create this type of service for users to use?
That is yet to be confirmed, but clarity will come with the enactment of the Artificial Intelligence Act.
