Has no bearing or basis in fact. Dev did nothing to free Ireland his only aim was to enrich himself by stealing from Irish people in American and from the Irish people for the rest of his miserable life. He is responsible for the deaths of thousands during civil war and also during the more recent Troubles in Northern Ireland.
