  • Not the same show it used to be.

This show has evolved with the times and is no longer interesting. It should be renamed to fine CNC or fine manufacturing.

  • After 2 years

I’m afraid it’s full of chat, low on advice. I don’t get much out of it. Tried 2 years which I think is a fair trial.

  • Tired of the “ums”

Haven’t listened in awhile but the show hasn’t changed. Ben and his ums. Every third word um, and then um. C’mon dude.

STL347: Don't Reinvent the Bench

A simple workbench design that is inexpensive and easy to build would be recommended, like Ron Polk's workbench that is versatile and can handle handwork.
STL347: Don't Reinvent the Bench
Q: What would your tools look like if you were in a one-car garage?
I would probably focus on a bandsaw but aim to prioritize hand tools, especially in a smaller workspace.

Q: What kind of woodworking are you hoping to do in the shop?
I want to try to make some chairs and get into the Windsor era of furniture making, but also continue making simple casework and explore curves and funky shapes.
