I discovered this podcast when i had to drive a distance to be with my daughter, who is away at college, and needed to have her appendix removed! You distracted me for several hours until I could be with her. Surgery was successful and she is much better… so I made her listen to the podcast as i drove her home to recover! The first foods she requested were spaezles and lemon meringue pie. Weird combo, but whatever- so that was the last food I made. The recipes were both my Grandma’s originals. A... more

Huge Top Chef fan, just rewatched both of Stephanie’s seasons (lots of wee hours time with a newborn!). Stephanie is as hilarious as she is on Top Chef, if not more. I enjoyed learning some behind the scenes tidbits and cooking tips, as well as more about her background. Her banter with Joel is really natural. And… because you asked, the last good thing I made was cochinita pibil tacos with homemade tortillas and pickled red onions.
