Tale of the Manticore is a hybrid between a dark fantasy audio drama and a solo D&D RPG. The dice make all the important decisions and, as a writer, my job is to interpret them and tell their story. Part fiction, part game, it’s the story where ”Chaos rolls.”Become a supporter of this podcast: www.spreaker.com/podcast/tale-of-the-manticore-a-dark-fantasy-dungeons-dragons-audiodrama--627687... more

In the middle of season 1. Fun adventure great writing and voice acting. Dnd with a twist. Highly recommend!
Original old school mechanics with such detail, depth and delivery. The sound track, voice acting and the amazing storyline all harmonise under the shell of true random dice rolls with a highly experienced storyteller in control. Must listen!
The story really pulls you in! Great voice acting too.
Listening to this podcast feels just like sitting at a gaming table with friends back in 1982. The story is compelling, the characters are fleshed out just enough to care about them, but not so much that it slows down the story.
The narrator has a pleasant voice and the sound effects are just right. The random nature of the encounters remove any plot armor and give it a Game of Thrones feeling of content danger. This is a must listen to any fan of old school fantasy gaming.
I’ve binge listened to the first and second season in their entirety. You do an astounding job bringing all these characters to life. Love when you pause to pull back the curtain and explain your DM side.
