  • Great Young Wolves

In my attempt to tell stories on the way tech impacts society I always tried to dig up the work of the young wolves, being a grey old one myself. Paris for sure is one of them, he’s well informed and knows how to tell a story. I hope he inspires lots of people, the way he inspires those students of mine who don’t mistake class for a bedroom. Thanks for keeping up, Paris.

  • One and only

The only tech focused show that doesn’t shy away from political economy or lose sight of the forest (neoliberal/neocolonial supremacy) for the trees (tech drama du jour).

That Paris can navigate the thorny topics without ever losing his cool is extra remarkable.

Silicon Valley Doesn’t Know What Makes a Good City w/ Joanne McNeil
Q: What is the experience of running into these vehicles?
I definitely got in some grimy Waymos. It was just like so dirty. I couldn't get over how it was just like so disgusting.
Silicon Valley Doesn’t Know What Makes a Good City w/ Joanne McNeil
Q: What keeps you interested in this subject matter that kind of keeps you coming back to it?
Part of it is as someone who writes science fiction, who grew up reading science fiction, I'm fascinated with this conundrum we have right now of automation as something that's not one or the other, but something blended.
The Growing Divide Between MAGA and Big Tech w/ Tina Nguyen
Q: So I wonder what you think of the state of that relationship between Silicon Valley and the Trump administration at the moment.
Tina suggests that while big tech sees benefits in aligning with the Trump administration for investments, major ideological rifts persist, especially regarding immigration and labor policies, indicating that MAGA might not fully trust big tech long term.
