Truly one of the best movie review podcasts out there! The deep dive on Scarface is University level exploration/ analysis! Love all the insider-baseball knowledge they drop throughout a program. Bravo gentlemen, keep up the good work!!
In general, I like the movies these guys watch and their conversations about them. Classic films and plenty of popular films. I think they have a good and entertaining balance of behind-the-scenes, moviemaking insight, and personal experience reflection on these movies. However, I just noticed how male-centric their movie choices and conversations are. Hosts are self-important and pretentious. I thought I was going to hear about behind-the-scenes information, but too many of their comments pertain to their own lives, which no one cares about.
Love this podcast. Steve and John do a great job celebrating cinema. Cover “Red Dawn” since “One Battle After Another” seems greatly inspired by it!
