  • On the shoulders of giants

Gethin not only knows his subject well, he clearly has great affection for the history of science. He does a great job sharing the progress of history step by step from antiquity to modernity. Organizing what could become an overwhelming subjects into episodes that make sense of the complex topics at hand and giving a little colour to ensure the podcast not only informs but entertains.

  • Very informative

I was always interested in the history of science and in how new ideas/explanations replace older ones. It would seem like a simple peaceful process but it is actually frought with dogma strong personalities torture and even death especially when the catholic church git involved. This podcast provides very concise well read and wonderfully interesting mini sagas on the evolution of ideas and human understanding of nature! Thank you

  • Great info!

Love the info and explanations in this podcast.

It would be nice if fewer sentences started with “However.” :)

However, the episodes are smart, sound good, and full of interesting info!
