  • Good show, some work to do

Big fan of Tara and the journalism that she does.

We can start with the good:

Tara is a seasoned journalist (not media personality). When she says there is no bias or agenda, this is true.

Her reporting on the Epstein case is stellar and second to none.

She is obviously very well connected in Washington, so when she says she has spoken with sources, I listen. She is always very informative.

    She is also quite likable.

The bad: She is not a great podcaster. Lots of times, there are lulls whe... more

  • Pablo Torre-esque attempt regarding Epstein coverage

I used to enjoy the podcast and political insights, especially during the most recent presidential election. However, this has turned into an Epstein all the time podcast that is a thinly veiled attempt to become famous by breaking a story Pablo Torre style.

  • No bias? No agenda?

Listen to her interview with and commentary about Kat Abughazaleh and then tell me Tara Palmieri has no bias or agenda.

I had so much respect for how she handled the Epstein victims and advocated for them. Now she’s cheapening that incredibly meaningful work with clickbait content fronting a thinly veiled agenda. Kat didn’t walk out of her interview for any reason other than Tara’s attention-desperate, blundering attempts to play gotcha.

This isn’t real journalism. It’s not even advocacy for ... more

Q: Do you think that's reflecting an industry dynamic or do you think that's how the ecosystem has developed online?
I think it's both. From the creator perspective, you're starting with what are your values, and hopefully at least if it's not contrived, what is authentically you and then that's going to put you somewhere on the political spectrum.

Q: What's the story of why you decided to transition away from mainstream media?
I got pushed out of mainstream media, but honestly, I think I got out at the right time, and I know that in the coming months, there are going to be people who will be forced to do what I'm doing.

Q: For those who may not have come across your work, Tara, maybe I'll start with you a little bit about sort of your journey to here, why you chose to...
I would say that I am now chasing the audience, because the audience is no longer watching television anymore.
