  • PLEASE tone down the music!

I have listened to and enjoyed your podcast for several years, and it replaced "The Daily" in my life in 2024. However, lately I have had to repeatedly stop playing episodes because of intrusive and distracting music. I don't know if your sound engineering has changed or if it's me, but the music played while people are talking is absolutely maddening, and I understand that the volume is increased for effect, but it has become like the iPhone's keyboard for me—I just can't deal with it anymore. ... more

  • Sad to Be Leaving

Vox has always been very middle of the road, which in ordinary times is helpful, providing a way to think about things. But in these times it has totally failed the moment. It is as bad as any corporate media, maybe even worse, lazy, unquestioning and accepting. The latest podcast about JD Vance had me laughing out loud at several points. Is this piece meant to normalize his obvious deviancy? I fear there is no brave independent media anymore. Everyone bends the knee. You guys are so screwed and... more

  • Great Content, distracting “Mmm’s”

I find the content and guests informative and engaging. But, there is one issue that makes it hard for me to listen. When a guest is speaking, one of the hosts always interrupts or punctuates their comments with loud and unnecessary interjections like “Mmmmm!” Or “Hummmm!”

It pulls me out of my focus on what is being said and is incredibly distracting! The content is great on its own and the host doesn’t need to do this to keep the conversation engaging.
