I love listening to Jamie’s podcast! As a total neophyte when it comes to music history, process etc, Jamie’s interviews help me understand so much! He is so accessible and causal, I find myself intensely surprised at how much ACTUAL knowledge I have acquired. Learning while so entertained — kudos to Jamie for making it happen!!!
The perfect name for show where Musician/Host Jamie Green literally trades fours verbally with some of the most interesting musicians on the planet. If want to get a glimpse backstage and behind the scenes to get the rest of the story- this is where to get it!

Trading Fours takes on a journey you into the lives and music of both local KC artists and world-famous musicians! Jamie always asks pointed questions and has an awesome time interacting with the guests on his show. It’s fun to get a glimpse of what life is like for musicians recording, touring, and performing. Always a great listen and worth your time!
As a child of the 80’s, this was a trip down memory lane. What a great insider view of those bands that formed the soundtrack and MTV video track of that decade. I can remember the feeling of “discovering a band” for your friends back when we didn’t have the digital media cramming music down our throats. (I discovered Dokken). This podcast is worth a listen and I’m definitely reading the book.
Hearing the stories from people who were “in the room where it happened” makes me feel like I have some inside info on EVH. His passing made me so sad, but he will definitely live on through his music and stories like these from people who knew him and loved him. Great podcast!
This show is an insightful window into the lives of musicians. The host, Jamie Green, is a great interviewer who refuses to ask the same old boring questions. The guests offer unique stories and takes on their lives. Turn this one up to eleven!
I just listened to the interview with Stanton Kessler. What a cool insight to the many places to play and hear awesome music in the KC metro area. The jazz scene in KC is on par with all other major areas.
Can’t wait to dig into listening to Stan’s work and hearing insight from other artists.
Loving the show!
Love the insight!!!!
