This is a top-notch true crime show, the kind that is made and performed with great care, empathy, and a quiet, righteous sense of outrage. Every episode is masterfully written, thoroughly researched, and brings alive in its words the tragedies at the heart of the stories Stanton covers. Don’t doubt it - these are tragedies. I stumbled upon this podcast by searching for a newer, fresher perspective of true crime stories. I’m a huge fan of this podcast. Definitely worth listening to.
Insightful host & great content. Thank u! I’ll keep listening
It seems that as the seasons progressed and the audience grew the music has become increasingly invasive. When you can’t even conduct a conversation without curating it with screechy music it seems to me that you don’t have confidence in your ability to communicate the story using only your voice, which is a shame because you are a very talented narrator. Unfortunately I can’t focus on the reporting as I find the musical effects too invasive so I’m unfollowing the show.
This show is so high quality! Well researched, well written, compelling, great production. Celisia Stanton has a great voice and an empathetic, thoughtful presence. I appreciate how respectful this show is to victims of crime and their families as well.
