  • Isgur ruins the show

The show is imbalanced in a way that has little to do with liberal/conservative. French is a fair-minded conservative who’s willing to call balls and strikes on both sides; Isgur cannot do anything but argue in favor of the Federalist Society, whatever it’s up to. Even The Dispatch’s own paid members continually call her out! I need a fair-minded conservative legal podcast, but this ain’t it while Isgur’s around.

Supreme Court Hears Oral Argument in Trump’s Tariff Case
Q: Do you think this gets resolved on just the text?
I think the key is not just the text, but also considering the historical context of the congressional powers delegated to the president.
Supreme Court Hears Oral Argument in Trump’s Tariff Case
Q: What's your handicap on what actually is the outcome of this case now?
It's too close to call, but it seems to me that both sides are going to have probably at least three votes, and then there are probably three votes in the middle that are up for grabs.
The Federalist Society Takes a Stand
Q: How has the government shutdown affected the judicial branch?
The shutdown has resulted in employee furloughs and financial instability, particularly impacting CJA attorneys who represent indigent defendants.

Q: Do you think there's any political motives behind Tish James' indictment?
Yes, there's a strong belief that this prosecution is politically motivated, reflecting a retaliatory approach towards political enemies.
