Such interesting and inspiring interviews! Thank you so much!!!
Met Scott at a conference and loved his mission and this podcast is going to be the string that creates the conversations that brings us back together as a society.
Scott has a wonderfully informal and conversational interview style that bypasses the over-intellectualized and impersonal approach so many other art podcasts take. There is plenty of substantive discussion, but it feel like you are in the room having a casual conversation with the artists he interviews, participating in a moment in time rather than observing it from the outside. The podcast offers insights into a spectrum of Austin-based artists, their practice, perspectives, personalities, and... more
The interivew with Madeline Irvine is excellent. She is articulate and down to earth about the artistic process and the formative experiences that have shaped her work and approach to landscape and integrating her environmentalist ethic that is exploratory. poetic, and deeply felt. Anyone who has wrestled with the creative process, or wonders how artists come up with ideas and work through them, will enjoy this conversation.
I love this podcast. What a great addition to Austin’s creative scene. I enjoy hearing artists talk about their work and career journeys. As a creative person I am quite inspired by these talks.
And hearing their personal stories adds to the experience of viewing their art.
Thanks for making this podcast!!
