  • Get better microphones

I just find it hard to listen to a podcast when the person sounds like they are in a bathroom 2m from the Mic

  • Enriching and Expanding

The concept of this show is deceptively simple, but brilliantly effective because everything mentioned is already curated by the guests. It has brought so many writers, performers, and places to my attention that I would not have known about otherwise. Always interesting.

  • Delightful

Delightful! It’s a bit like Backlisted podcast but for all stuff in addition to books. The conversations are so interesting.

  • Inspired Idea

This is such a good idea for a podcast. The host handles things excellently. It works best when the guests choose six disparate items from across their range of interests. A few guests have chosen to talk about one theme in six ways and these episodes are less interesting. I have followed up so many items as a result of listening.

  • Brilliant!

I’ve only recently discovered this podcast, and have loved every episode I’ve listened to so far. It’s such a simple and clever idea, and the range of things mentioned is amazing, thought-provoking, crazy, thrilling…impossible to categorise. Also very revealing of the guests - Ivan is a great interviewer. Honestly, it should be better known.
