I used to love this podcast. Sadly it’s taken an anti tolerance and anti Indian position. He has veered toward a typical BBC / NYT biased stance and slanders Hindu faith and identity just like colonizers did. It’s clear a brown history podcast not based in India will have it flaws because he would never know what India is like and it shows. It’s harmful and it’s better not to exist than do damage and spew hate.
The topics are really interesting and not usually discussed elsewhere. Which is a pity because the host isn’t articulate, seems unprepared for episodes and does not ask good questions. I feel the episodes are carried by the calibre of the guests and failed by its host.
Listened to the episode on Syrian Christians and really enjoyed the interview. The host did a great job of researching the topic and asking thoughtful questions. Looking forward to exploring more of this show. The topics seem relevant and the host does a great job of keeping the conversation interesting.
