  • Not sure what it wants to be

This is an interesting podcast and as I listened through the backlist it covers many movies and the history around them. But since the beginning of the year I have watched for new episodes about movies and they are getting fewer and fewer. The pod seems to have decided to go a different direction. I have no problem with the new episodes but it’s kind of a bait and switch. It’s no longer what I signed on for so I am parting ways.

  • Refund my time

Listened to 3 episodes I thought I’d like. Conversations went short or without structure. Didn’t come away with any information more than I came with. A host who is annoying. The idea is good but I want my time back.

  • Fun, Historical, & Brilliant

Guests are scholars who know their stuff, but are normal people who make their work accessible. Jason is a great host, who asks thoughtful que... more

  • Love this podcast

Great, fun way to learn about history. Has a talking-about-movies-with-smart-friends vibe. But not at all film snobby!
