This is by far the most enjoyable and informative podcast I have ever listened to. I recommend scrolling back to the first episode and taking them in order. I am almost done with Volume II. I started listening end of August 2025. What I have learned from this podcast has added context and depth to the challenges of modern life. Very nice to listen to at work. I have little knowledge of world history so this has been nice to learn about and also good back round noice to keep me focused at work. So whatever facts I do retain is awesome. Great accent and Chris seems to be such a nice person which is an add on to how good the podcast is.

Back in high school I had pretty basic and boring history courses, and then avoided history in college. Many years later now, I sought out a way to take a new run at history from the beginning. I love that Chris starts from the true beginning and then, roughly chronologically, takes me around the world to understand key events of each era.
