  • Biased show

The Living at Odds episodes I found very disappointing. They say it’s about seeing both sides, but really felt a lot like one side accepting the other for what they believe and the other thinking what they believe is totally wrong and are tolerant of their lack of education. That if they were totally educated they’d think just like me. Just felt more dividing than helpful series.

  • Every episode doesn’t need to be woke.

They can’t help themselves. Every episode is saturated with political leanings. Also the hosts are extremely Annoying.

  • SO WORTH IT!!!

Wow! When I say you will get something from every minute of this show, I mean it! My friend sent me the student loan episode and then I binged way back to the earliest episodes and loved them ALL!

  • Not quite for everyone

Class problems (eg needing student loans, overall financial literacy, having open & ongoing discussions about money) framed as primarily about racial identity on a recent episode , and it’s not a one-off with this show. One of the guests made a dismissive reference to “non-POC” who she imagined didn’t have to struggle the way she did and the host just accepted that as a given, no probing question about assumptions the lady was holding about people whose financial backgrounds she doesn’t know any... more
