從小就有藝術天份，也喜愛繪畫的張兆遠，從未想過自己有一天竟會成為一名馬術教練，並經營管理一座馬場，協助許多身心障礙的孩子們。
多年來推動「馬術治療」的過程中，張兆遠親身經歷無數個因為與馬匹互動而在復健治療上得著幫助的孩童與他們的家庭，這也讓他更加確信，目前投入的「希望馬場」是極有意義且必須持續下去的。身心障礙孩子的笑容和他們的家人所洋溢的滿足，也成為張兆遠即便面臨馬場經營的諸多困難，也始終不願輕易放棄的最大力量。
