  • Hilariously Smart

These two provide adept commentary on books I don't want to read (but always felt like I *should* read). They freely and frequently admit that covering the more interesting, well-written sections of books is not as entertaining, but they'll still nod to content they find interesting or insightful.

I find the way they deconstruct arguments to be smart, succinct, and funny. Props to whoever edits these episodes, they really fly by. Oh and THANK YOU FOR NO ADS!!

  • Brilliant, Honest, Funny

This podcast is soooo good. These guys are hilarious. They work well together. They are so real. They are super funny and they cover the books that I want to either read or not read. I highly recommend this podcast. I can appreciate the work put in.

  • Disappointing

Tried to listen to a couple of episodes but did not find it entertaining or enjoyable at all. Two sardonic hosts with too much political talk. I found it to be very polarizing, part of the problem they try to dispute while flaming the fire. Disappointed it couldn’t just be about books.

  • Speaking truth to Sapiens

I am 10 minutes into the episode on Sapiens and I am a (former) archaeologist screaming at my phone. I have been screaming about this book since I once read the first few pages. I feel so vindicated

  • Hysterical and informative

I found this podcast because someone recommended it on an IG post that was criticizing Mel Robbins (if Mel Robbins has no haters I am dead). When I tell you that I was busting out loud laughing at that episode, I truly mean it. The banter between the two hosts is the best - I want to be their friends. And I just love how they take what the author wrote and talks through it. I mean, you can’t get a more thorough critical analysis of pop culture. I would love to see them do more in the self help s... more
