Big thanks to Podium. After the ‘nonsense’ of a certain co-owner of a US-based website’s track podcast, this is a breath of fresh air. Loved the two athlete interviews I listened to thus far.

Adding to an earlier review (above). Still enjoying it. But I could use a little less ‘where were you this weekend?’, especially if it was a cricket or tennis match, at the beginning of the pod. And, also, please cut back on the gratuitous cackling.

The personnel balance isn’t right. There is one excellent ex-athlete/ commentator and 2 commentator/ broadcasters in Richard and Katie. The show would be improved I feel with a 2:1 ratio the other way round, with a second ex-athlete (?field) of Hannah’s balance and ability drilling down into the enthusiasm, stats and atmosphere of the sport. There is a lot of deferring to Hannah particularly in the review episodes ( and her insights and nerdy stats are ideal in this respect- more of this please ... more

  • Great new podcast

Really enjoying this new podcast. Twice weekly and hosted by Hannah England (and Richard and Katie) who is establishing herself as a mainstay of athletics broadcasting, well deservedly too. The team know their stuff but have relaxed banter going on as well. Recommended to all athletics fans

David Gillick | Double European Indoor Champion on his book 'The Race'
Q: Why now for your book, and how important do you think the difference is in what you've written now compared to when you first retired?
I wasn't in the right mental place immediately after retirement. After being involved in media and seeing the sport develop, I felt it was the right time to share my story and insights.
Jack Buckner | UK Athletics CEO
Q: What is success going to look like for you when you finish in this role as CEO of UK Athletics?
Success would mean a thriving sport where clubs are doing well and the overall athletics environment is healthy and welcoming for new athletes.
Jack Buckner | UK Athletics CEO
Q: How do you ring fence that and then ensure that while you're trying to build this thing to improve performance and improve UK Athletics, that you don't lose track of kind of the performance side of your job as well?
The advantage we've got in the creation of Athletic Ventures has provided us with a great team around us now, allowing us to delegate effectively and focus more on performance.
Trevor Painter and Jenny Meadows | M11 Track Club
Q: How do you look after yourselves and each other in this high-pressure coaching environment?
It's difficult to find time for ourselves, but we support each other during stressful times and try to take time out together.
Trevor Painter and Jenny Meadows | M11 Track Club
Q: How do you two work together to manage your group?
We complement each other in our strengths. Jen takes care of the administrative and sponsorship side, while I focus on the coaching aspects.
