    Was quite bemused to hear on the most recent consecutive episodes a quite airheaded fanboy guzzling up of whatever cheap, clichéd and gaudy sensationalising of The Lord of the Rings was gotten away with when filming these finely wrought works of literature, and then a spirited and nuanced tut-tutting at film and television adaptation of Jane Austen where it strays by a single letter or a wisp of spirit. When will someone see the Peter Jackson films as the bilge that they are? The hosts of this p... more

    As a keen consumer of current affairs podcasts I was delighted to learn of this new offering. Michael Gove clearly knows his stuff but his delivery is too excited and lacks calmness. Why does he put an emphasis on virtually every third word whether it is appropriate or not? Please tone it down. The balance between Gove and Grant doesn’t work too, it sounds like the boss chatting to the office junior. Could she at least occasionally disagree with him? - it would make for more interesting listenin... more
