People are done dancing around the topic of trauma. They're ready to face this square-on. None of the current systems are getting to the root of the issue in the current model. Their biology has been affected on a cellular level, and that is now what's preventing the important work that they're trying to do. The Biology of Trauma® podcast is the missing piece to that puzzle. It's a practical livin... more

I listened to Dr. Aimie’s podcast since it was in the recommended section. I was so surprised at the high rating after listening to her interview with Dr. Tian Dayton. Dr. Aimie interrupted her guest, was unclear with questions, and gushed based on her past knowledge of her guest’s work without clarity on what we as listeners should be hearing. I am unsure if I’ll continue listening - if this is how she treats someone she respects and admires (cutting her off often, assuming she knows what her g... more
FYI
I’ve listened to many of her podcasts as recommended by my therapist. I almost bought her book, but after seeing the marketing being tied to her attendance to Charlie Kirk’s memorial, I can no longer recommend her work. So disappointing.
What’s most concerning is she deleted the comment section on thepost and in a subsequent follow-up video she refuses to understand and engage in conversation of her followers perspectives when it comes to talking about trauma. Instead, she blames everyone... more
As a recent graduate who wants to focus on trauma management and mind-body connection, I was so happy to discover this podcast, thinking that it’ll help me to deepen my knowledge. However, to my disappointment, most it is just a very basic information that every MH student knows. There’s little to no context provided for how actually work with the stored trauma. Additionally, and this is one of the major issues for me personally, there’s a constant advertisement of the author’s course that suppo... more
This book has helped me recognize an inner shift that is required for the completion of my healing journey. Thank you Dr Aimie!!
With a title like The Biology of Trauma, you would think that the podcast would have some actually biologists on to discuss how the body converts trauma into illness and Dr. Aimie does not. The reason is because the science is not there yet and we do not know. Most of the episode is her hypothesis and speculation with buzzwords thrown in- like mitochondria and oxidative stress. As someone who was truly interested in understanding this further, I found the episodes disappointing. I won’t continue... more
