  • happy to have discovered this podcast

been binging my way through it. very interesting stories and would love to give it 5 stars but i got to more recent episodes with ads being run with Kristi Noem cheerleading for the Clown In Chief and enlisting in ICE. definitely a bummer. don’t wanna stop listening for political reasons but it’s pretty disappointing.

  • Phenomenal

I’ve been listening on and off for years. I’m currently binging again. I love the interweaving stories and literature that I normally wouldn’t be interested in. He somehow worked in Dante’s Inferno with Richard Ramirez. I hated Dante when I had to read it in college but somehow Branden kept me interested. I don’t understand the low ratings at all. His story telling is meant to make you think - for me anyway. And obviously he has to have ads. Any other podcast I listen to has the same ads too. It... more

  • Great story telling with some some insightful poems mixed through.

Branden is one of the very few voices I can actually listen to on my podcast list. Most podcast voices—especially in true crime—tend to drive me nuts (no offense), but Branden? He’s got the perfect radio voice.

He weaves together true crime, eerie religious paranormal stories, and even poetry in a way that somehow just works—and I’m not even a poem person, haha…and the background music? Perfectly chosen. It adds character to the stories.

  • Fiction?

I am on season one and, while the show is easy to listen to and interesting, it is impossible to tell what is true and what is fiction. It is presented as true crime but much of it seems to be speculation or horror fiction. Sources are not given and everything is presented as fact when it obviously is not. The podcaster should call it horror found footage and make clear it is highly fictionalized but “based on true events.”

Additionally, the podcaster does not understand the Abrahamic religions... more
