I really liked the episode with Jasmine San Andres, the Spanish Teacher trying to keep Spanish alive at home and raising bilingual children. As a Latina adult who still struggles with fluency, the nuances between culture and assimilation really hit home. Favorite episode so far!
This is truly an inspiring and fun podcast and great for Latina moms who face unique challenges.
Janny is great, fun and gives insightful advice.
I would leave mis-categorizing to non-Hispanics
Very insightful and real podcast. Topics everyone can relate to and an excellent approach for bilingual upbringing!
Dear Janny,
Thank you so much for this episode... Almost a year behind but “pa lante”
Your positive energy is Amazing!

I love her energy and also guests, tips, tricks, advice, and overall knowledge. I feel empowered that there’s other moms trying their best to raise multicultural kids bc we are everywhere. I’m a latina mom from the usa currently living in Germany! Osea mi familia es multilingual 😉 Muchísimas gracias por tu trabajo! No es vano!
I love this podcast and I feel supported in this mamá journey. Definitely hooked!
Me encanto formas de como celebrar nuestra hispanidad, ahora en día es triste ver familias q tienen hijos latinos y no les hablan español porq no ponen atencion. Aunque no ponen atención lo escuchan y más adelante te lo agradecerán. Me encanta La Niña hablando español.
Omg!! Loved it! Me encanto!! recordar es vivir!!! Y regrese a esos tiempos atrás memorables de nuestra niñez y el tiempo de nuestros padres. Me reír y llore al mismo tiempo. De parte mía te puedo decir me encanto!! Y más no... more
Much like Janny when my babies were born the one thing we had very clear is that they would be raised bilingual and we would make the effort to always share my Mexican culture and traditions. But how.... Yeah some things are obvious ie eating mexican or talk to them about the different holidays. But still needed more to really get that visual for them, Janny’s recommendations and ideas are creative, easy and a great way to share our culture.
Finally a mama who gets it! Who talks about how important nuestra cultura is, hence, how important español is. How it’s hard. Really hard. And the reality is that English is such a dominant language and we work around that. We figure it out. And I absolutely love how she includes her daughter and their book review. It was adorable and a transparent look at how this mama is raising a bilingual child. Give this podcast a listen! You will not regret it!
Felicitaciones!!!!!! Me encanto !!!!
Un programa muy divertido e informativo!!! Quiero escuchar ya el siguiente podcast!!!!
