  • Disappointed

In listening to the family estrangement episode, I found it deeply troubling how quickly the host dismissed the impact of disagreements about politics. I appreciate that if you are White and you were talking to someone about their perspective about Trump it could end up feeling like an intellectual conversation around a topic. But if you are not White or not perceived as “ a real” American lby the Trump administration the disagreement becomes much more visceral. It becomes a conversation around ... more

  • Why all the laughter?

Without context, you might mistake this for a comedy podcast. Is what you’re saying important or is it not? When lamenting the state of the country, is it more important to be clear-eyed and serious or to show that you’re above it all by chuckling at the antics of an incipient authoritarian? You guys are so cool. You’re just the coolest.

  • Epstein

The speakers glossed over Epstein’s putative links to Israeli intelligence. This has been investigated at length by prominent former US intelligence officials.

At the heart of this scandal is the abuse of vulnerable girls. The larger picture is how powerful men in all walks of life - and of all political colours - are compromised by association.
