Great convo! I would add, though, that there's a real mindset transformation going on in the culture wars--which left-wingers tend to blame on the right but (IMO) are more often to blame themselves. Politics has become their religion (socially, *not* spiritually), and it's as dogmatic as any monotheism, dictating that there can be no compromise on what they deem to be the moral truth, thereby leading them to believe with all their heart that the right is not simply wrong; they're evil.
Your insight and humor are always spot on and I’ve been listening for awhile now but this weeks episode really hit home. Thank you for talking so honestly about alcohol and alcoholics.
Great interviews with great guests and a great, down to Earth interview style with humour and genuine curiosity. Love it!
